Report a translation problem
In the meantime, the DPAD should work fine while we feel this out. The joystick is actually set to act like an 8 direction DPAD anyway (digital emulated too, so no analog sensitivities for balance), so while we take a look at this just know that functionally it should play fine with the DPAD too. We're actively taking a look. It appears to work on Windows 10 machines fine but not on Windows 7 or 8 machines. We're looking into the reports to see why exactly this is occurring.

on my generic gamepad (which turns out to be actually G-Shark GS-GP702) it was assigned Axis 3 by default, but when i manually reassigned it, it appeared to be Axis 4 and the movement became as it should (not diagonal anymore)
