Secrets?

Some of the achievements are about winning the game by using various kinds of secrets; however I've played the game for a while now and never noticed such things. Is it because they are found at the end of the Swamplands (which I've still not beaten)? Or are these hidden cheats? Or do you have to input some kind of code at the start? I'd like to know!

(and please don't answer "they're secrets so you're not supposed to know anything")

But seriously, we left hints in the game on what the secrets are and how to turn them on. I guess they weren't that obvious because most people never found them.

Thanks for having answered! Maybe I didn't pay enough attention and was fooled by the "childish" appearance of the game (which I liked). I'll try to find them again and I'll send you an email otherwise.
