SFXEngine Retro Sound Pack Released

Retro for SFXEngine was released today. This sound effect preset set includes 75 old school arcade game sounds in SFXEngine project format. One of the most retro and synthetic SFXPacks, Retro contains a large quantity of arcade game sounds. White noise explosions are included with variations, plus electronic weapons noises, and synthetic pickup and upgrade/downgrade sweeps which are easily customised to create amazing new sounds. Some Commodore C64 style percussion instruments round off this extensive set. Contains 75 sounds, 7 environments, 1 sample, 76 modulators.

Supplied in SFXEngine project format. Easy or modify, with lots of samples and modulators that are free to use and re-use.

Loading Sound Packs

Hi there, just got the full 50% package for SFXEngine, hoping to make some sounds for my game. I just wanted to let you know that it wasn't obvious how I can load up those sounds until I experimented a bit, so it might be good to include this information in a more visible place. In order to open a sound pack you must go Project>Include>S284C-SFXEnginePackWeapons.spj (replace with the pack you want) ...

The Complete Cornutopia Game Bundle Released

A new bundle went live today! The Complete Cornutopia Game Bundle contains all of the Cornutopia Games released on Steam so far. I've been making games since 2001 and constantly updating and remastering them with new graphics, new sound, and new capabilities for the latest computers.

The bundle includes the latest version of all of these Cornutopia Games: Radioactive, Yinyang, Flatspace, Taskforce: The Mutants Of October Morgane, Gunstorm, Future Pool, Gunstorm II, Future Snooker and Flatspace IIk.

I dream of remastering some of the other games that (at time of writing) aren't available anywhere, but this is getting harder and harder these days. All of my games use my own engine and 3D format, graphics painstakingly made old school style, but perhaps one day I'll have the time and resources to revive my other games.

Argus updated to v1.64

Argus has been updated to v1.64 today.

A small update to Argus today:
-The main change is the removal of the maximum Texture Frames box on the Costume Information Window. The maximum Texture Frame is now calculated automatically when 3D mode is entered.

And the manual updated to match the changes.

Argus is free to use for small films, with a DLC upgrade to unlock the power to create long and complex films. Find Argus here:

GUI Amplitude Envelope Generator

When using this software a common thing to do is create some noise, and then attach a modulator to shape the sound. If you want a particular shape then from what I know so far I have to click "load" then select one of the wav files, but new users don't know what the shape of each one is, so if they're looking for a particular shape they just have to guess what FadeA.wav looks like, or open it and figure it out (which is laborious). It would be better if there was a way to create the shape of the desired...

Hello, can this software be used for making sfx for commercial projects? Site license only covers sound effects and steam page says nothing about commercial use.
