Kero Quest 64

Kero Quest 64

Just finished the demo
Overall game looks pretty good & feels fun to play. I collected all the gems and below I wrote down my experience and thoughts.

First thing I did was climb up the wall in back of spawn and was greeted by an angry block and then I found the sign that tells me about the obstacle course. Putting that sign there was right up my alley because I love exploring in places I really shouldn't and finding stuff. I actually went up the wall all the way to the first gem and then did the obstacle course and talk to the NPCs. My only gripe with this level is that I cannot enter my house.

Level 2: When I saw the bridge i did everything in my power to try and cross it. (and I did after like 20min) I found a tree you could climb up and use to hop onto the slippery mountain at just the right angle to boost yourself past the bridge.

Level 4: I had a lot of fun with this one. This was the first level I did with multiple objectives. I did have minor issues with it tho.
- 1 I got frustrated with the birds knocking me off the top of the map in that area where you first encounter the flippy blocks by the mushroom.
- 2 When doing the pole climbing section I kept misalining the frog slightly because it doesn't look completely backwards when it's backwards. This might just be a me issue tho, anyone else have this problem?
- 3 My first time using a zipline I thought my game softlocked but nah he was just chilling for a moment and everything worked fine.

Level 5 (switch): I didn't think I was supposed to be here yet so I thought I was cheesing the whole level. Then I got up to the top and realised I was supposed to do this. Overall a fun linear level. I like it.

Level 3: Another open level with multiple objectives. First thing I did was climb the tree and jump over to the cliff by spawn. Later on there is a 2D section which I hope they add more of in the future updates. There was also this big bug by the 2D segment that I really wish they did more with instead of treating it like a regular bug.
