Feature request - Random genre and priority settings
While it's really a good game, once you play it through couple of times the game doesn't offer much challenge or replay value at the moment. Put the right genre and priority settings, sell the game, repeat. The money will come, guaranteed.

Now, if I think of the first playtrough the game was really exciting and challenging when I didn't know exactly how to set the genre and priority settings. I didn't search any of the game guides yet, instead I figured out the settings myself. That was a real challenge, to try to learn from mistakes and feedback such as game reports and fan mail. Now that I know the values, and know the guides there really isn't much challenge left.

So, why not to have an option for randomizing the optimal genre and priority settings for each game? This would make the game as challenging as it was the first time. This way, every time when you choose another genre it would present a risk. Now how cool would that be?

I have written on the ToDo list.
Good idea! :)

Nice idea. Something that stopped me from playing in the last few days. I have the perfect settings for some genres (self researched) and now there is no reason for me not to use them.

So this challenge is gone in every new game and every release is a success.

I would still prefer it to be in a range of numbers. Like simulation for example would always be graphics heavy but you don't know if it'll be a value of 5 or 9, like an array which could randomly pick a number that would still always favor graphics in the first stage.

Then in the second stage graphics could be anywhere from say 30-50%, just as an example...

As opposed to just completely random values.

/off topic

Part of the turn off in this game for me is the lack of relevance with genre/topic and also no noticable differences for genre's between different platforms (like simulation, strategy should sell well on PC, mac etc). I always find it really odd when there is some crazy combination of genre/topic trending, like military sports game or something like that.

I actually think there might be too many topics already, some of them are pretty odd choices and even redundant, could cut some out easily. Basically I would prefer a choice (in game options before you start), between everything being random or everything having some historical basis. Genre/topic priority settings, trends, platform relevance, all of it. That would be my dream game development game.

off topic/
