The main thing however is that you make quite a bit of money off console sales, and not selling dev kits or high market share returns on games you make for the system. If you put the automatic price option on it will stay a decent chunk above the most recent price of your system and you'll earn a pretty good amount of money while your market share goes up some.
From there you just have to make sure at least one of the consoles you build for is your own and reap the benefits. To maxamize your MS gain you really need to not only build up your own console with good games, but limit or deny your competion any games. First step is to stop building for other consoles if you can help it. If you have to pick one do the various systems that come and go early on, and avoid the PC and the Muc since they stay.
Once you have billions to waste it's also useful to buy out all the other develpment companies and force them to make games just for your system as well. Only real problem is by the time your system has any kind of real market share it's either about to be replaced or it's so late in the game you have no real need for money.
Thanks!
