What does Rnking Up characters Actually do?
I'm unsure if this has a thread on here already but I'm confused as to what ranking up characters actually does. Does it improve their stats? Is it just cosmetic? If anyone know's I'd appreciate it very much < 3

Literally the first result on Google:

In Megabonk, ranking up characters provides a passive bonus, with benefits like Spaceman's +1.5% experience gain per level and Vlad's +1% lifesteal per level being examples of these stat-based benefits. Ultimately, the primary benefits are small, permanent increases to a specific stat.
insofar as i can tell it's purely so you get a little star icon in the character select and a new skin. so yes, cosmetic.

Ok. That's wrong, though.

Pretty sure that's just AI not differentiating between leveling up and ranking up. Theres pretty much no way that its right.

the "literal first result on google" is the AI response, and it's wrong, lol. it just gives you a skin at 100.

Literally the first response here is wrong because you dont know the difference between a character rank up and a character level up.
The former is a simple number level that does nothing besides unlocking cosmetic skin, the other is ingame level up by gathering XP shards.
I figured it was the ai overview : ( what a bummer

Give you skins.
Damn, nothing at all? idc about cosmetics ranking up a character should reward in-game as well, like the unique level ups does, but already starting with a bonus...
