Controller Help - How to split stacks?
Hello

I have read the help and it mentions that controller inventory management keys will be displayed in the inventory (whereas the help details the k&m ones). I have looked and for the life of me cannot work out how to split stacks using a controller.

Does anyone know if this is possible with a controller and if so what the key combo is.

Thanks in advance.

No idea how to do it with controller, but maybe you'll figure it out based on this: with keyboard and mouse (default controls) it's shift ("run") + left click ("fire") the stack you want to split.

Thanks for that.

I thought I tried that, but now I am not so sureas I dont remeber using left stick (ie run). Will give it another go. Thanks very much for replying, I do appreciate it.

Well, we try to help each other here ;). Let us know how that goes, if you still cannot (reliably!) split stacks, then you can post a bug report in the Bugs subforum (or I can do that for you if you wish). Pixellore squashes bugs very fast (sometimes it's 10 minutes and one game restart, it's insane ;)!).

Thanks. I tried the run (left shift) button but it did not work. On the K&M is that button held or is it a toggle, becaase with a controller it is a toggle which might affect how it translates to the inventory split stack controll?

I just imported a steam controller from Amazon and have been using it, I am intending on mapping the shift key to one of the buttons and see if that works. Hopefully it will.

I can't hit anything with the steam controller ATM, its taking some time to get used to but its fun nonetheless. Keep hitting the wrong buttons and getting destroyed. :) That said I can see its potential and the configuration options for it are quite powerfull and easy to set up. Will let you know how the remapping goes.

Thanks again. (I am making a list of bugs ATM, I do this sometimes for games where I think the devs are interested so I will incorporate this one into that list. I will post in the bugs subforum (as you suggested) once I have some of the more aggregious ones nailed down. They are all largely controller specific (or at least I think they are) so perhaps are not well known IDK).

Have fun.

Hold down shift, left mouse button click - the run button is not a toggle (yet).

I haven't seen many controller-related bugs (I can recall only one), so go ahead and make a Controller-related bugs topic, I'm sure it will be appreciated :)! The dev is active and reading these forums, so if it's possible, it will get a (usually prompt) fix!

Thanks mate, I will post the thread link here once it progress' enough to be worthy a thread of its own.

I will retry the stack thing again just in case me or my controller were having an idiot moment.

Thanks again.

You're very welcome :)! Keep us posted about those bugs and please, post them, even if you think they're not "post-worthy" unless there is X of them. Each one is good enough to be noted and fixed/tweaked accordingly. You can already start a topic with what you have (maybe including the stacks' splitting, depending on your further testing ;)) and just cross the fixed ones out (it's better to strike them out than to just delete them for the sake of readability of the topic). And keep adding them in the same topic or in the main post (I'd prefer different posts in the same topic - easier to keep track of, every post can have its own mini-list with fixed bugs :).

Ok no worries. I will be playing again tonight or tomorrow and will post then.

I gave it a brief go last night but was using the steam controller which was emulating mouse and keyboard, so none of the bugs/behaiviour I had noticed applied (as they are pretty much all controller UI related). I will be going back to a true controller next time I play (still steam controller but acting as a controller rather then a K&M) so I will run into them again.

Let you know how it goes.
