However, I did have one weird experience. "Serious need to poop", medium contamination, fatigued, and I think I had a fracture with a nano kit active. I put him to sleep, and after a bit, his health started dropping pretty quickly. Reloaded (because I'm cheap and the bed was near the autosave), and took a decontam pill before bed. Same thing happened. Reload, use the bathroom, and his health stayed relatively stable for the whole nap. It seemed pretty obvious that the poop was to blame, but I haven't been able to recreate that problem (in my one test :P).
Yeah, I'll be honest: in my tests the only thing I could figure out was that there was no reason to hold it in. I got the same results, only it was an impromptu test on the way back from the Casino. Poor Dr. West was going to poop himself to death on that tram ride! Urination definitely seems like it's a minimal amount of condition compared to defication, though. When your condition drops from contamination and injuries, the urge to squat just tips poor Dr. West over the edge!
Man what a classy paragraph that was. :D
Yeah, bathroom needs seem to be a "finisher" kind of problem: it won't kill you by itself, but when you're hanging on the edge, it'll be what pushes you off. Now all we need to figure out is where the edge is. During my one test of holding-it-in-for-days, I ended it by contaminating West to 100 (rotten food is useful!), and it still didn't move his body condition (at least, not from the 34 that it was after the contamination). Maybe next time I'll give him a fracture, too. I think trying to survive is enough entertainment. :p As for hygiene, have you ever read the description for a toothbrush? (In the game, obviously.)
I'ts not like anyone cares in an infestated station full of mutants...
that's why you're still human while the rest is not.
