What strategy did you used to win the game ?
Mine was pretty risky but i managed to pull it of after a few attempts , at the beginning of the game i gathered all the weapons , heat and O2 canisters i could find Central Room an went first after lvl 3 & 4 research chips , since the infection is low in the early you can go in the larger districts without encountering hoards of enemies , the downside is that when you get to the shorter districts the infection rate is bigger and more dangerous enemies are spawned there , it will be a lot harder to get your hands on the lvl 2 chips and if you fail to acquire them then the 3&4 research chips are useless , if you manage to do that Congratulations , you can now start clearing the MPO Biosphere , Nilson Engineering , Herbert Research and MPO Mine.

Game is good but sad for me only for first time i finished it. My strategy was with save files - explore area and load to start stage and go direct to next floor to chip - i gathered all chips on 3-th day ingame time. But it's unfun.

Except this doesn't cover the strategy of dealing with the boss. So you can hardly say that your strategy covered how to win the game.

Last wekk i started this game again - got 4 days in main hub to do some things - now cleared only 2 full stations and got 60 % unfaction rate and red map - i think i am dead man

I used the "Pure luck and autism" skill to beat the game.

Nah, you can recover from that. I won't spoil how, just in case you're not far enough to have seen all locations, but I'll say that you can reduce enemy load just by getting further into the main story stuff. It won't be 'easy', but certainly doable even with high infection level :)

Hoard. Build. Equip.

Shoot for the face.

Problem is I never finished the game.

I thought the experience too precious and sort of drifted away.

Still plan on finishing(?) it someday but I did come close to the end though and explored multiple possibilities where I had 3 outcomes.

-Fly away on the shuttle.

-Fight the boss and possibly(?) win.

-Stay aboard the Mars Station.

I sort of hypothetically chosen the last one.~

Never finished it. No matter what I tried, I could never get even past the first boss.

I'm most likely too incompetent for that.

For the first boss? WindroidX to give me the speed to keep at distance. Fully upgraded launcher to take a few pot shots when I had distance between us to attempt it... and rapid fire from my assault rifle for when he was too close for the launcher.

Second boss was much of the same, zipping around and shooting with my rifle. Kept to the outer ring. Took out all of the green cores, though not really sure if it did anything, tbh.

Always used Windroid X. Problem was the downtime between uses then the first ran out and the second was about to be used.

Tried Plasma launcher, pistol, SMG, even shotgun when he got close to me. He never dropped.

I don't know what to tell you, son. I had no trouble using two fully researched pistols, last time I fought him. Windroid X, Battle Suit 3, and it used about 60% of a Power Pack XL for the whole fight. I just ran in a circle around the room and shot at him constantly, slowing down at corners a bit so that he actually goes around the obstacles. Arguably the most boring method, but also the safest imo.

Edit: If you're on Easy (and probably Normal), you can get away with just shotgunning him in the face constantly. You just need to back up a bit when he does his DBZ power level explosion thing. I only tried this on Easy with a maxed shotgun, but the barrel and heatsink weren't max, at least.

The current first boss is easy as heck. Back in the days when the expansion was in beta, it took me over 50 attempts to defeat him. Imagine him having several times more HP and using his drill charge almost without cooldown.
Also, i must say, difficulty modes have no effect on bosses stats - they are the same. Unless this has been changed much later, which i have no idea about.

I tried the fights several times around the time of my post, both on Easy and Nightmare, and they were noticeably different, at least in terms of damage. On Easy, I more or less just stuck to them and shotgunned when possible and they went down with barely a fight. On Nightmare (and probably Normal and Hardcore, since Easy has a damage multiplier), boss 2 seems to just heal up whatever I deal if I use only shotguns, and I'm quite sure that she deals much more damage.

I vaguely recall that Pixellore said that difficulty doesn't affect them, so I wouldn't make a claim like this without something. Plus I've beaten boss 1 and his unavoidable freakin' drill on release like you, too. But, having fought them recently, it sure doesn't feel that way. Maybe I'm just rusty after a few years, but I can record a bit of superficial testing to be sure and to show you (I replaced my Easy playthrough with a Normal one, but the damage dealt would probably be good enough).
