Another steam user reported in this thread that installing this XNA Microsoft Framework Redistributable solved his issue: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914 (it's only a 6.7 MB download)

A reddit user reported in this thread that using some developer tools, he managed to force the game to run in 32-bit mode and it solved his problem. Unfortunately, I don't know what tools he was referring to.

I have not yet been able to replicate this problem on another windows 11 system, but thank you for your patience. I will continue to research this problem and see if I can find a solution for you.

Hi Vespa, is there any other information you can share about your setup?
What version of Windows are you running? Do you meet the minimum system requirements?
What happens when you navigate to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Class Melee 2' and try to start it from there?

Hi. Thanks for the response. This system is Windows 11 Pro. It meets the requirements. When I attempt to run the game directly from the folder, the icon turns to an hourglass for circa a second and... nothing. It doesn't even register in task manager. I haven't experienced this with any other game (to my recollection). If there's a way to capture what's happening, I'll try it. Thanks again.

Edit: If I can provide additional information or attempt to debug what's happening, just let me know. No rush. I appreciate it.
