Imperial Guard Pack DLC
I bought Napoleon (pack with three DLCs) just recently and when playing it, noticed in the main menu that there still was DLC available. Went and bought it (heroes DLC) since it was cheap. When back in game it still said that there was a DLC available. Noticed that Waterloo was unavailable in custom battles.

Googled around a bit and found out that there should be free DLC called Imperial Guard DLC and it should be available on Steam. Now, where is it? It's not in store or in installed DLC list?

yeah not sure, one got scrapped and never released and last year they released a bunch of stuff they still had lying around.. i think you have everything
Mixu Nov 24, 2012 @ 5:50am
But the thing is I don't have everything. According to TWCenter forums http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=361811 french should get new units:
-polish/vistulia legion
-guard seamen
-dutch grendiers
-empress dragoons
-polish guard lancers
-dutch guard lancers
or grendiers a cheval

I have none of these.

BTW error in original post. I meant to say Waterloo is unavailable in Napoleons Battles, not custom battles.

That DLC I believe is free and automatically installed via a patch released some months ago; it should be all bundled in. Go to "play battle", choose "land", and then browse around to be sure you don't have those units. Easiest way to tell is to go to the British side and see if you have anything labled "Royal German Legion" or something; that's all DLC stuff, if I remember correctly. Alternate Waterloo is locked for me as well, but I believe that you may have to beat normal Waterloo first, as there is some degree of progression with the historical battles (have to beat the Italian ones before the Egyptian one, etc).

Oh, it was supposed to be one of those units, not all of them. Rechecking custom battle I noticed that I do have grenadiers a cheval on france and kings german legions on british. I still wonder why that Waterloo battle keeps telling me that I need a DLC though.

umm, try starting the normal waterloo 'campaign' as the French, and this MIGHT unlock your British 'alternate' waterlo, or maybe complete all the other Historical Battles prior to it. As for those units, the majority i have from the free DLC mentioned above, and should have come with the game.

Thank you for your answer. I find "King German Legion" on the British side.

You can only get this DLC through buying the Grand Master Collection even if it was free in the past but things get changed.Don;t know why SEGA keeps this DLC away from most of the new customers. How can you tolerate playing NTW without Polish and Dutch Guard Lancers?! So from where I stand this is REDICULOUS!

No it's not true. The KGL has nothing to do with Imperial Guard Pack, which only contains units of France. And this Imperial Guard Pack also adds on an alternate Waterloo in which you act as British Army and can be accessed for the first time you enter the game. You don;t have to beat all the historic battles to reach it just like the French one.If your DLC list doesn't show Imperial Guard Pack then you don;t have it.

Oh another free unit you guys can get for Absolutely Free is by joining a dumb email list from the Sega total war site. you get like on free unit out of it. If not you guys can use the awesome modders unit adders. I use AUM_Napoleon and AUM_empire. Gives me a heck of alot of new units along with the DLC i bought on here. Just Google AUM and your game and only download it from the total war nexus site. The downloads are clean and you can contact the modders if you have any trouble.

If you click Properties on Napoleon Total War, then go to DLC, you will see what DLCs you have. Imperial Guard Pack should be free and should automatically install with the game.

Problem is that it does not appear there.

Now, just "Napoleon: Total War Imperial Edition" has the Imperial Guard Pack DLC.
