NTW3 Worth it?

Just curious if its worth playing over the base game when you only play multiplayer battles, thanks for any help!

It's a decent mod. A lot of people like it. It puts a lot of emphasis on morale so losing your general or units routing next to healthy units can be dangerous (mass rout). A lot of detail goes into each unit and there are many units.

You'll probably need to find a dedicated discord group to play with as coordination in this is even more crucial than vanilla.

It also can crash a lot.

I personally prefer vanilla battles. They feel a lot cleaner and maps look better. It's a bit faster paced; muskets and cannon are a lot more deadly in vanilla than they are in NTW3. And, of course, doesn't crash as much.

at v4, you can play the campaign. never liked MP.

Try Grand Battle, A lot of great changes if you had any interest in NTW3 you would definitely like GB. We have a community to play with for any timezone. definitly the mod to check out if the learning curve of NTW3 seems a bit steep GB is the answer

GB is purely a MP mod with an active community, when it comes to campaign its personal preference they all do it a little differently. NTW3 doesn't have a bad campaign but the main focus is still MP
