NTW3 - Is Accracy too low?
I know muskets werent accurate, but I'm 100% sure if you're fireing 10 ft away at like 30 guys with 100+ guys, all those 30 guys will be dead, or wounded... Each at least with 2 bullets in them...

My guys shot, and only like 3 dropped from that distance. The range should be increased at least by 1 or 3...

But everything else in the game is perfect, that I noticed so far... (Just got it 2 days ago)

I think u'll notice the enemy always seems to do more damage than u at least on very hard. Don't forget as well rank is taken into account eg if those 30 guys were in 3 ranks the front 10 would take the brunt of your 100+ guys fire.

As an aside this game is almost perfect for me. Its just the scope that is limiting. If Empire had battles the same as Napoleon as as an add on then it would have been.

I know, but im just saying, I think if you should at point blank range, not a guy who really miss...

Yes, I can host. Starting now? Is France 3 LoC good?

I mean if your experiencing this it probably has to do with your difficulty or unit rank/type. if your putting 100 militia against 30 old guard, then yeah. besides that if your rank is narrow you'll only be able to pop less shots since only the front soldiers are firing. besides that, if your difficulty is high the enemy always seems to be a bit more deadly then your own troops.

According to data from the American Civil War, there is 1 casualty for every 200 shots. Of course, that's for maximum ranges (150-180 m).
If the troops are closer to each other, casualties increase. At close range, it should be quite high.
Maybe NTW3 muskets have too much spread?

Uninstall NTW3. Install EIC. Problem solved.

Also everyone who likes Napoleon or Empire total war should keep a lookout for this, it just might be the best napoleonic war sim ever if they pull it off. www.histwar.com. They have a game on steam greenlight as well called Histwar:Austerlitz. Check out the page.

well in real there woud be so much smoke you could not see the enemy even not your allies l

Maybe if you are firing continuously. But i use one guy to pin and one to flank, the flanker makes no shots till he is close so there is no smoke to obscure his vision. There is no logic or reasoning behind the innaccuracy of muskets at CLOSE range in NTW3. EIC has lowered accuracy at long ranges but if you get right beside someone and volley, many people die, as would be excpected. That's why I prefer EIC.
What the ♥♥♥♥ is EIC?

Europe in conflict mod for NTW
Thank you. Could you provide a link? It seems that there are no versions on Moddb ready for download, and its not on Nexus at all

they weren't allowed to aim in that time.
the only thing soldiers did was point their musket straight forward even if there isn't anyone in front of you so maybe 30-40 guys could actually be able to hit the targetand then there is the accuracy thing wich makes 20 of them miss
