Question: This is for 5.0. Is it the same process for 5.1? What do i do about the 5.1.4 patch?

Same process. Just overwrite the basic files. It works fine for me. DO NOT install the launcher.

Followed the step by step and it still crashes when it i click on Campaign.

The only thing i can think of is when i use(d) Mod manager it's not empty like the picture said it should be. I erased all the Great War stuff when i re-installed and there was none of it in the mod manager. However, i did have stuff that said "Battle terrain" a number of various patches, etc...I don't know what those are, i've never put mods on before. Do i have to get rid of those things before things will work? If so, how? I tried running the mod with the boxes of that other stuff uncheck and checked and i still got crashes.

I had another thought. Do i have to put the launcher into the Napoleon Total War files? Thus far my launcher has still been in Documents where i placed the Unzipped Great War files.

Sorry, i'm new to mods and such.

Don't get rid of battle terrain. Just put the files from the 'Files'
(don't include the options) in the data folder. Also, copy WWI campaign, it's in the campaign's folder, and put it in NapoleonTotalWar/Data/CAMPAIGNS, not in the root data folder.

Did all of that stuff and it still crashes when i click on "campaign"
Did you check everything? Including the Great War stuff? You put the folder wwi_main in the campaigns folder? Don't install anything in the options folder, just the stuff in the data folder.

Yep, i've followed your directions and the websites directions too a t.
Ok, did you put the patch files on before you copied it, or after. This will make a difference because the launcher is also contained in the patch and might mess things up.

You mean put the patch files on to the Great War files before i moved them? I moved the Great War files then the patch files.

Thanks for helping me out man.

You're welcome! Only copy the same files BEFORE you move them to the data folder. There is a data folder within the patch folder. Copy and replace those into your greatwar5.1/data folder. Then ONLY copy the contents of the data folder, except the options folder, to your Napoleon Total War/Data folder. Now, copy the wwi_main folder from the patch/campaigns folder and overwrite the old files in the greatwar5.1/campaigns folder. Now copy the folder wwi_main to napoleon total war/campaigns. Load up the modlauncher. Check EVERYTHING, including the 'battle' files and everything else. Make sure to select the great war files by clicking 'Show all pack types' and checking them all. Launch via the modlauncher, and there you go!
