no. Thats right. All you have to do is put the austrian campaign to easy. then beat it. then start the egyptian campaign, exit out and you'll have access to the european campaign

There is a "Grand Campaign". Campaigns of the Coalition would be the Napoleon: Total War equivavlent of Empire's Grand Campaign. If you think there's not enough nations to play with, go download a mod or play Empire.

i thought campaigns of coaltiion meant what it sounds like which is you play as a coalition nation. imo you should be able to play a seamless NAPOLEON campaign.

Europe campaign would fit that purpose. I think you have it unlocked at the beginning, at the "Napoleon's Campaigns" section.

unfortunately it isnt, apparently i will have to try ankh's 'workaround'. not a huge deal but i dont get why it was designed this way. i guess the iberian campaign is also completely separate & i thought that would be integrated as well. oh well anyway thanks for the help guys.

No problem. Ask anytime if you have any more doubts.

Bit ingorant of you though not wanting to follow Napoleons early years,as that started the events of the next 15 years. The first two campaigns are just as much fun as the european and getting a game just for one specific part of the game (grand campaign) is a waste of money n my opinion. I love the entire game, definately the best total war.

i mind that they arent cohesive more than i mind that
ANKH Mar 7, 2014 @ 12:35pm
have you tried the work around yet?

They are cohesive, Napoleon took command of the army d'Italie marched on Vienna. Austrians capitulated. Napoleon sent to Egypt with Army d'Orient-defeated at Acre. Napoleon went back to France seized power and then started a series of wars against the coalition. He was defeated, came back and defeated again at Waterloo. They all tell the story of Napoleon and it you played them in order fully, you would find it a cohesive story and you would be less historically ignorant.

I wish there was a fourth campaign where you play at the start of waterloo and after your victory try to beat overwhelming odds against the seventh coalition

Well you can, sort of.

*SPOILER*

Final mission of the European campaign is to capture Moscow.

We all know that historicly, Napoleon was forced to leave Moscow and watched his Empire crumble and the Grande Armée disintegrate after the disastrous march back to France.

You may be able to hold on to Moscow and prevent Waterloo from happening all together. There is nothing stopping you from crushing Russia and continue your conquest trough the rest of Europe.
Hell, if you play your cards right, you may even invade England and see the Tricolore raised over London!

Watch the intro closely, did you see that signpost as Napoleon burns the HMS Victory?

"London, 34miles".

Not exactly. what I mean is, the same way empire starts the american revolution campaign at bunker hill and win or lose you have to take the remaining colonies, after waterloo you should take back over a depleted one province France with 2 full stack armies half national guard militia to defend it, 2 generals and overwhelming opposition of two full stack russian armies, two full stack prussian armies one full stack british army and two full stack austrian armies to your 2 full stack armies ratio of 7:2 and they are all at the French boarder. Push them back and fight your way back to moscow and you can't win until you build a fleet large enough to take London.

In the game I always sent troops in one boat and took over england. If it were that ewasy for Napoleon he would've done it. The British should've had a suffocating fleet. oh well.
