I forgot how badly the ai cheats in this game

this is probably the worst total war for ai cheating imo, armies moving half way across the map in one turn, whole elite armies just appear out of nowhere near your cities. It's crazy.

I remember how long I waited for this game just to be totally disappointing with the lack of a true free grand campaign and in reality just a series of led scenarios. I haven't played it since the week it came out and it completely turned me off the franchise.

What dificulty were you playing?

This is just bad player complaints. The AI doesn't cheat its move points, nor does it conjure units out of thin air.
Get good, and stop being bad.

Shogun 2 has the worst cheats, in that legendary AI gets magic sniper archers that decimate your units. It's still easy to crush the AI though. Git gud.

smh you had to be that person. Yes the AI does do that.

The AI has the same rules as the player, the only difference in the difficulty is bonuses and negatives, as regards to unit stats and money. They don't get "sniper points" Or extra movement points. Stop assuming stuff and find out what they are doing, rather than starting a dumb thread. You might actually learn something you didn't know. Like how to use agents or building bonuses that they are using that makes you think they are "cheating". Which by definition is only possible for the player. Only Humans can cheat,the AI follows script.

Install Darth Mod, I don't notice the AI moving farther than me, although it does make boats fly across the map (yours and theirs) making England a bit more fragile, you have to keep an army at home with this mod.
