Barricades

You know those barricade thingies and those spikes that look like a X? The ones in historical battles, is there a way to place those down in regular multiplayer? Because that would be cool.

You mean earthworks, redoubts and abbatis? The only time I see them in MP is during campaign MP.

I think he means Chevaux de Frise johnny boy, but your right, they are only available in campaign scenario battles SP and MP and not online battles when it's 1v1,2v2,3v3 or 4v4. Basically they are only available to an army when they have been in situ for at least one turn (Which isn't possible with online matches) and that can be in the field or in a city. Great fun when you have to defend against a siege and you can use them to bolster a fort or cities defences. NTW3 has a feature that allows you to use Engineers in online battles and they can deploy the C de F's or stakes and mines but it's hardly worth it with just one unit, you'd need more Engineers in your army to create a meaningful defence to the detrement of your army because you would be casting aside vastly superior units and to be honest everyone would probably hate you for doing it anyway because it would be construed as camping lol but you can use Rifle units and Jagers and the like to deploy stakes which are as good but they can damaged by succesive cavalry charges unlike the C de F's..Hope this adds to the intelligent responses you've received Sir
