User scripts???

Im trying to get some french units added to my game but the mod says i have to add or change,(not sure which one) the user script in-order for the mod to take effect. I have no idea what to do so if you can help i would be much obliged. I have been wanting this mod for about 4 weeks so its killing me! :)

First you must enable in your windows explorer to see "hidden and system files": Start/Computer/organize/Options/visualization.
Then in C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts
you will find the text file (if not you must create it yourself) user.script.txt. Open the file and at the top add the line: mod the_name_of_the_mod_you_want_to_add.
For example for the "Regiment_Artillery_Piece", the second on the link you wrote, you must add the line: mod Regiment_Artillery_Piece.pack.
Save, exit.
Copy the mod file you have downloaded (and unzipped) in Napoleon/data folder
(example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Napoleon Total War\data)
Play and enjoy.

We all have it. Press Win Logo + R, then type %userprofile%\AppData then OK.

Do you know how to find hidden files on a modern pc? I did what he said and it didn’t work and that’s with “show hidden folders” enabled in options and the user.script.txt file and the “mod unitmod.pack” written in it

Well what I did is go up to view and pressed the little hidden button.
