This is probably what you are looking for. Bran usually frequents this forum and would probably recommend it himself. I've used it and can testify that it improves battles especially. You can read the changes on the download page. For me the improvements that have made the biggest change are the cavalry being able to pass through units more easily, it was quite ugly before, with horses rubber banding, but the cavalry clashes are much more fun to watch with this mod. The other thing I like is artillery canister shot is more lethal, a good blast will strike multiples, were as before it was rather weak and it felt like a volley from infantry was more lethal than the artillery. Musket accuracy is higher, the infantry drop like flies now when a musket duel is in effect, make sure to match your best with their best. The AI deploys the armies more effectively too and you'll see long lines of infantry lining up, rather than those column formations. The campaign does seem to be more lively, just follow the tips described in the instructions. Well worth giving it a try.
Only just spotted this one, sorry.
Here's the link for the original NTW3 download page-
https://www.moddb.com/mods/napoleonic-total-war-3
You just need the 4 files above the obsolete 8.9 version, so that's maps,NTW3 v9.0, NTW3 v9.0 campaigns and the 9.1 patch.
Use Bran Macborn's submod which I posted a link to in the first reply, it will improve the AI deployments and overhauls much else.
My pleasure pal 👌
Though I'm not really sure with Bran Macborn.
I'd say you should try and see but I personally wouldn't use AI mods, but again I could easily be wrong.
