Is this still worth playing with out Darthmod

I really want to get this game before the sale ends. But at the same time im not sure if its worth playing with out darthmod. But i also dont want to go through the hassle of downloading and installing a mod thru a third party site. If i was gonna play this game it would be vanilla. Just dont want to get it if vanilla isnt worth it.

mods are stupid, vanilla is great, still some multiplayer activity especially in evening, campaigns are interesting

It takes longer to download some mods than to install them, and with so many good mods and submods out there, why would anyone want to play Vanilla ? I don't want to sound like I'm blowing my own trumpet but I've clocked nearly 5,000 hours in NTW, the other day I completed the full achievements, 71/71, I record battles for You Tube and have also done campaigns, all with mods. I've not played Vanilla for about 10 years, I'd rather not play it than play it without mods. Check out the new submod on Moddb by Chewi3, it overhauls the sound and gameplay using some things from Darthmod, it also uses NTW3 maps, but the sound changes are the most striking. It can be played in SP but it's geared towards MP, especially MP campaigns and battles. Try it, you will not be disappointed and your Vanilla days will be history 😜 Or stick with your vanilla, it just suits some folk 👀

Fair enough. I do like the music of Vanilla, it is nostalgic to me. I bought the Limited Edition CD version of NTW back in about 2010, cos I was an Xbox player and was looking for new games, but I am also a Napoleonic era nut, when I saw the game on the shelf I grabbed it and went to the counter. The cashier said "You need a steam account to play this" ! I said "mate, I don't even have a PC" lol I bought a fairly good laptop not long after and spent the next year playing it devotedly. But then I got whiff of mods through You Tube videos and the rest is history. 10 years on and I still get the same buzz playing it, every new mod or update breathes fresh life and pleasure into it.

Vanilla all the way, like for most TW titles. Only mods im using is DEI for Rome2 and better camera mods for others then its all vanilla.

Vanilla here. Although I do play NTW3 from time to time, but get irritated by the unit limits.
