I prefer your average run-of-the-mill lancers and hussars, but my favourite cav units are guerilla cav of Spain, because of the ludicrous chaos they bring to battlefield. Yeah, they are a one-trick pony but it's so much fun sometimes when they and the battle within 30 seconds.

How do they end a battle in 30 seconds?

Not everyone remembers Spain can place guerilla units anywhere on the map, including behind enemy lines, and losing all artillery pieces and the general in first seconds of the battle can cause a certain type of player to hit ragequit button.

Good luck with this plan, anyone who glances at the mini map will see your units behind them. They do cause some confusion at the beginning of a match, but once you get through the guerilla units, Spain is a weak faction.
It's a shame that CA made them weak when they actually were not

I actually like light cavalry better since they are fast. I guess I actually like Lancers to take out other cavalry units on the field. I been using heavy cavalry instead in my regiments to fight off infantry to just rush them in the middle of the fight when sh*t hits the fan like my artillery is about to get rushed by infantry. The only reason why I hate heavy cavalry is cus of their speed.

What is everyone using online? I would rather use lancers online too.

My favourite faction ever is Netherlands so I might have a weak faction fetish, but I like Spain a lot. Their infantry is bad but cheap so you can add a good general and some chevrons, cav is good enough, weak art but I never rely on art, and on top of that guerillas allow for some funny tactics.

Experienced player will of course expect Spanish Inquisition guerillas, but still you can get your money's worth from them by hiding one or two guerilla cav units somewhere on the map. This forces enemy to constantly divide his attention and keep checking his rear, as well as keep some reserve to guard cannons and general staff.

They were very weak militarily ib this period. Their artillery was excellent, but their infantry was mediorce and their cavalry was terrible, only complete a charge on one occasion during the Battle of Talvera. Their Guerilla units were what caused the majority of the problens for the french in Spain, as well as the British armies and later the Portugese.
The Guards Mamelucks !!

There are still alot of players that are not aware of spain s guerrilhas capacities as they dont have the DLC that adds them but they can decide battles on their own. Specially the cav units and as Brzęczyszczykiewicz said its a very effective trick that works on most players taking the highest level ones and DLC onwers, because in a very short time you can kill their general from the rear with several cav units heavily damaging their morale and giving time for you to position your main army on a vantage point.

So,if used properly they can gain victory rather early in a battle,or stall the enemy movement
at the start giving you a edge on positioning.however players that are aware of this type of units will deploy reserve units to the rear and protect key units such as art or lights and other tactics they see fit. also you can put experience on these units, and overall in the entire spanish army as their units are cheap, therefore increasing their fighting skills.

Chasseur a cheval my favorite
can be used with infantry very effectively
(CAN SHOOT MOUNTED GOOD MORALE AND ACCURACY)

Chasseurs a Cheval are the obvious choice. Overpowerd guncavalry with not half-bad melee stats. One of the reasons why I never play vanilla multiplayer anymore.
Chasseurs a Cheval de la Garde in ntw or polonais lancer

Not exactly everyone remembers that if you place the lancers in a forest, they are hidden.

You can hide any unit in a forrest, apart from your general. What does that have to do with Spanish guerillas?

You can place them beyond the normal deployment square, say behind the enemy deployment zone, cav on forests or behind their gen,inf on villages to take chokepoints or buildings etc until the main force arrives once the battle starts. quite effective i must say
