NTW3 crashes at end of turn.
As the title says my NTW3 campaign (1805 campaign as the British) keeps crashing. Every time i do end turn it goes to the French turn, after 5 seconds it crashes. I tried deleting the preference script and veriyfing files but nothing seems to fix it. I really dont want to start a new campaign, so if anyone knows a fix please let me know.

Note: I am running version 7.6 with 7.5 setup, maps, and addons installed.

NTW3 is optimiseded for multiplayers....

Sadly, there is little you can do. The problem it is said to be that this is an old game designed for 32b.

In my own experience (I mean, this could be totally wrong) this happens due to memory fault for some battle or movement involving the AI. So the only solution I have found in my campaigns is to prevent that battle for happening. I keep 3 or 4 incremental savegames, so I can roll back my campaign a few turns and change my movements. But eventually, other crash is most likely to happen again.

But as I said, there is virtually nothing you can do. NTW3 is awesome, but due to the game's limitations, campaigns tend to be more and more unstable as the late-game progresses

So is it even possible to finish a campaign in NTW3?

I think I have only end a couple of campaigns... :mortis:

But after so many time and campaigns, I usually mark my own specific conditions for each campaign, so usually I play very very long campaigns. Achieving regular victory conditions is kind of possible, perhaps not every campaign, but definitively possible.

I just started a new campaign as Austria, my first battle the game crashed... I am slowly giving up on this mod.

Is NTW3 your first mod? If so, I totally agree with you, do not start with it, and even more so if you plan to play single player (as I do). Play all campaigns with Darthmod, and only then change to NTW3.

If you play NTW3's campaigns you have to acknowledge from the very beginning that it is likely you will not end it, and you just like to play it. Lately I find more enjoyable to play all historical battles one by one... as long as your processor can handle that many units :)

I played as the British and Sweeden on Darthmod campaign (About 200 turns on each), so I got bored and wanted something new and this mod was the answer. However, I cant seem to enjoy it at all with all the constant crashing. Really I dont mind not finishing a campaign, but this is just unplayable.

One thing I've noticed (at least I think so) is that SOMETIMES when you have a character or army that hasn't moved during the turn but will as soon as you end it (for instance if you send an agent a long way and don't move it manually each turn) that might cause a CTD, I've had this happen a couple of times and got through it by making sure all armies/agents weren't going to start moving once you end the turn, other than that I've just had to reload old saves and move armies etc. a little differently and then sometimes it works.

(with these method I've managed to bypass all end turn CTD's so far, haven't played NTW3 THAT much though but yeah, try it at least)

You could try LME4 instead, got great sp campaign and rarely crashes. Atleast for me, but sadly no multiplayer

Thanks I will give this mod a try! I don't care about multiplayer anyways as I always get a 2 second delay on my commands in multiplayer so I never play it.

Do you know where I can download this mod without going to the site it shows, as it forces the download into taking 10 hours (for only 1.47Gb, which I can prob download in 15 to 20min). And the gamefront files dont even exists so i'm just guessing this mod cant even be installed.

So if I just download the torrent I dont need the other files? Because based on the instructions I need the other files. Also what does he mean by "remmeber to seed"?
Havmuller Jan 19, 2018 @ 1:21pm
Well, i can tell you how i did it.
First go to http://iutlandmods.com/index.php/files-docs
then find the files you need to download for LME.
Then open up bittorrent,
either it will download it through torrent automatically or you will get a small file on your pc.
Which you then open up with torrent, and thats pretty much it, it should then download.
After that all you need to do from there is to follow the install instruction.
The seed thing i dont think you need to pay any attention to,
i atleast never did. Just make sure it download all files.

From bittorrent website about seeding.

What is seeding?
Last Updated: Sep 16, 2016 11:56AM PDT
Seeding is where you leave your BitTorrent client open after you've finished your download to help distribute it (you distribute the file while downloading, but it's even more helpful if you continue to distribute the full file even after you have finished downloading). Chances are that most of the data you got was from seeds, so help give back to the community! It doesn't require much - the client will continue seeding until the torrent is removed (right click the torrent, then hit Remove). Proper practice is to seed until the ratio of upload:download is at least 1.00.
