Napoleon Total War "who layes mines"

I cannot figure out which unit lays mines, puts up spikes , and barriers for the cannons and such
..please help....thanks

i do not think that u can plant mines only ai but your rifles can always deploy stakes. The other spikes and barriers u can only deploy them in campaign mode if your army hasn,t moved for at least 1 turn i think barriers in front of cannons render them immoble and restrict field of fire.P.S. maybe its here that u can lay mines with light infantry. u cant do any of this in multiplayer.

Only the light infantry unit can lay mines, and your army must be fortified on the campaign map in order for this to be available. All other units can make either gambionades, or Cheval de Fris with rifles as the exception.

And thank God this feature isn't in multi-player. That is all.
