The Battle of Waterloo with French

Have you ever played the Battle of Waterloo with French? I would like to know about strategies to play this battle with Napoleon. Thank you in advance.

I've only beaten it for a silver eagle - but the only successful strategy I've seen is to race right, defeat the Prussians as they emerge, and then sweep across the ridge defeating the Anglo-Dutch forces in detail.

The french are about attack, they have much higher tier ranks than the british in a lower vs game and will best the british forces when done right. Send your cav to charge the bushes to kill off their lights first. Then you've got lights to screen your advance, your best arty has a ton of hitpoints so it can soak up shots and is a good screen, run your best troops in the left house and grenediers in middle house. Make sure to kill any general trying to run away if there is a timer by which i mean, have cav in reserve and that's all.

In the option of your opponent moving back to the other house you have an advantage here too and you should bring up cannons and hit his exposed lines but making sure you protect them and line up yourself. His cannons won't be deployed correctly and you have an easy duck shoot. If the prussians come too close as in by the hill near the right house you can destroy them.

Hopefully this answers the question. I don't really play NTW that much anymore so it doesn't matter to me about telling you a tactic to win.

What difficulty levels have you won using this strategy?

So your advice is questionable at best, as Human players don't get the buffs that the AI gets.

Playing against the AI the trick is always how to best handle the buffs it gets - tactics wise it is unimpressive to say the least.

You don't understand the mechanics at all that much is evident and your plan is such a pus.sy way of dealing with the armies. I would not want you as an ally if all you do is walk off and attack the prussians in any way shape or form.

Napoleon's general effect has the same effect as it would with the ai. Infact I state it has been used against the ai the only difference is that a player could always come up with an adequate counter so if anything to fight a player takes more skill. It doesn't look as though you have much knowledge of the game at all.

What are your conditions of contest?
If I find them acceptable I might take you up on that challenge.
