What mod to download

I'm new to this online total war and i'm looking to play a few people online and was wondering what MOD everyone is playing or which one i should download.

However the NTW3 mod is very popular for multiplayer.

I just downloaded ACW Mod today and im going to download the NTW3 tomorrow, both look amazing and cant wait too try it on multiplayer. Thank you guy!

You should learn vanilla before downloading any mods.

I have played it and been playing it for awhile now, i just never had an actually computer that could keep up with playing online or even the higher graphics. I finally decided to upgrade to better gaming laptop so i can play with others.

While it's probably mostly known for its multiplayer, it also redoes the campaigns. It has 20 factions to choose with historical starting positions and units, and special campaigns for some factions aswell.

I recommend it if you want a more realistic and in depth campaign

If you mean an invite for NTW3 discord channel: there is a link in the NTW3 launcher. And the link provided by LukeKraut is working as intended, too.

Hi, I have just downloaded the Great War mod 5.1 and the latest 5.1.5 patch. Put them where the videos told me to. I have got mostly blue screens, with video internal error and a forced reboot, but one time it actually ran the program and I had WW1 soldiers walking down my screen complete with a THE GREAT WAR banner at the top of the screen. So can anyone advise what I done wrong or what I need to do to get it running. My son is waiting patiently! I have checked all drivers to make sure they are up to date and appear they are. Any help appreciated.

i would look up on youtube and follow the directions to the t. i havent tried the great war but all others i have no problem. Also i would make sure napoleon is fresh as in like freshly downloaded again. alot of problems if use the same files if u dont uninstall and reinstall

NTW3 (Napoleonic Total War III 8.7) is super popular, but I have yet to use it. Also, DarthMod Napoleon (DarthMod Napoleon 2.65) is another super popular one that I have yet to try. The Genius Realism Mod 2.1.2 is super solid. The (American) Civil War mod (ACW 1.6hc) is really good, I play that a lot. and there is a good online multiplayer community. I can also vouch for the Zulu mod, it is a lot of fun and takes most of its sound effects from music and shouting, etc. and the units you can pick from the movies "Zulu" and "Zulu Dawn" about the battles of Rourke's Drift and Isandlwana, respectively. technically the second movie is a pre-quel. There is a good mod for dragoons firing while charging, and good ones for musket sounds/ballistic effects, etc.
