King's German Legion - How to recruit?

Im playing as Great Britain and I read the bio of the troops and they are recruited from hannover. I currently have 1 of 4. Ive seen some really old post saying you cant recruit them and other saying you can. I think I know the answer to my question which is I cant recruit but it looks like I should be able to recruit based on the fact that I already have one King's Legion and that it says I can have 3 more.

Its a bug that it says you can have 3 more. You can only recruit them in the Peninsula Campaign DLC, not in the normal Grand Campaign.

Ya ive looked into the mod. Im playing on a crappy laptop so im not sure if my computer can handle it. But its good to know the mod allows me to recruit them

beware the mod NTW3 takes a lot more room than the basic game

Because the king's german legion was under Wellington's orders in Spain

They performed well in Spain, and made a name for themselves under Wellington.

Ah ok thank you. I didnt know that wellington took them with him when he went to spain to fight the french. thx

Many noble Germans went to England when Napoleon invaded Prussia in 1806 just as many French went to London after the Revolution and were engaged in the British hunters who fought in Spain

it might also be because the royal family of england were from germany "Hanoverions i believe"
