I'll paste it... :) You do not need to set that exact value, the ideal is the actual value of your graphic card. Or you can just put a "big enogh" value. By the way, he is talking about Empire. It's the same for Napoleon
Go to your preferences file (the file preferences.empire_script.txt typically in C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts)
and look for the line
gfx_video_memory
change it to:
gfx_video_memory 512000000
This will enable you to select higher graphics settings. See how far you can push it I haven't noticed any side effects, but I had to go back to medium settings anyway because my pc can't handle it well.
