I haven't played it in a long long time. Wasn't it very unrealistic?
Yes, true, but it's basically just the multiplayer mod. There is a campaign but most of the units are MP only -.-
You've played it?
Is your big main concern merely the unit roster in Grand Campaign?
Well yes I've played. It's not the main concern but it certainly does mean a lot for me as I enjoy fighting battles, looking at the uniforms and weapons, enjoying the fights, you know?
Well, then NTW3's the most visually spectacular, and it has tonnes of uniforms and units. I believe the campaign has the units availible as well.
NTW3 for Multi Players
And how exactly ? Let's talk SP first.
Also, Darthmode seemed pretty realistic for me.
Darthmode hasn't been worked on in like 5 years, NTW3 has been constantly in development, with it's last update in november.
Darthmode is a bit too close to the vanilla, and offers a slightly arcader version of NTW. (fire by rank, loose formations, high kill rates etc, etc.) Darthmod also doesn't have any custom skins, or as many units. Darthmod focuses on campaign.
NTW3 is of course much more interested in getting it right to history, or at least the feel of it. So things play out a bit differently, they have custom uniforms, custom sounds, custom units. It focuses on Historical battles and Multiplayer battles. It has two types of multiplayer mods (classic NTW3 and regimental mode). NTW3 has a campaign that is better than most of mods, but it is still being worked on.
That's a great answer thank you.
I discovered about NTW3 just recently. Could you give me a little bit more of details ?
I know darthmode has custom sounds (way better than vanilla), smoke effects (seems better than NTW3 ?), AI seems pretty smart (I just looked up a couple of youtube videos of NTW3 battles where AI seems to do awkward things ?), and fire by rank seems more realistic than no fire by rank (am I right there ? I'm not a pro of this period of history).
I'd like to be convinced, but what I saw from darthmod is not really an arcadish version of NTW but something way more realistic (less death by guns depending on distance, as a lot of shots miss), etc.
