If you want reinforcements that are better than what you are fighting with, pull out those units you dont want with a withdrawl order. Make sure you set up your reinforcements before the battle so that they come in, in the order you want them. You can also just post the crummy units in the initial army right next to the edge of the map and withdraw them and you will get the better units coming in right away.
I play Darthmod Napoleon with the 40 unit campaign saves, but they're all set to medium campaign difficulty which is terrible - if you have found a way to create 40 unit saves, that means I can play a 40 unit campaign with Hard campaign difficulty.
