Replicube

Replicube

What language will be used?
Hello I understand the concept of Replicube and really love idea but I was curious if it uses an actual programming language (for the ingame editor) or not? and if so what language?

The game uses Lua for the in-game programming language!

Will there be a way for that to be switched, just curious?

I understand that's most likely a unrealistic feature. I also should mention I think adding that detail in the games description would be helpful for people looking into this game.

no plans for allowing different languages, no. I agree it would be good to include in the description, I'll add that.
Awesome, I love the concept and will definitely stay tuned keep up the good work.

it's such a small thing, but needing to postpend almost every line with "then" and not having switch/case statements and I was going to say not having !=, but looking it up, ~= might be how to do it in lua, though it wasn't in the in-game docs... all of these things drove me crazy

yes, lua uses ~= instead of !=. there is a puzzle in the game that emphasizes this, but I will also add it to the in-game docs.
Yea, I fell for that one, too. :Rubber_Duck:

Also: Props to the dev vor using a real programming language and not some made-up bogus language (as many games do).

What you learn here can actually be useful outside the game, and I love that.

maybe it should be nice to have a button to type that character in (and probably other special characters).

I'm using a US-based custom layout (EurKEY, BTW) but in my native keyboard layout (Italian) the tilde ~ character is NOT present at all and you have to type it via some obscure combinations (depending on the OS).
