You could also get a 360 compatible controller since that's what everything is designed for these days. I got a logitech F710 to replace my wireless rumblepad and it's nice because you get all of the benefits of the 360 pad(xinput, same layout that games are designed for, and analog triggers) but you can flip a switch and use it in directinput mode for older games. Then again I believe the xbone controller is slightly different so that might become the new standard soon. *shrug*
Yeah, I'm using an older version of x360ce since I've had problems getting the newer ones to work with some games, and this has been the one game that has stumped me enough to post about. Wel that, and Google wasn't much help either. Preview thing works fine, and the .ini file shows the corect inputs as well, so I dunno.
I took a quick look and it looks like I used the vibmod 3.1.4.1 version with the "FakeAPI" option when I had this issue(working in preview but not in game), check the readme to figure out this option because you'll have to set up the VID and PID manually in the ini.
Seems Logitech Game Profiler was the one blocking x360ce. I forgot I had set it up for Boarderlands a little while back and it just loads on startup. Gamepad works fine now. Thanks for all the help fellas.
Anyone know how to get this to work?
