Have you tried verifying the files in your options in your Steam library?
I've googled my fingers to the bone trying to find a fix and finally just decided to play through anyway.
Yep, I uninstalled my graphics drivers and reinstalled and they are up to date, ran in compatability mode etc, etc. Really, I've tried everything I could think of on my end.
At this point I'm assuming that AP just doesn't play well with my hardware for whatever reason but I'm so far above the specs required to play it I kinda get an ironic chuckle out of it. :)
Meh, I'm old school enough to know that sometimes it just happens this way. I'm not complaining or begging for help here I'm just commenting on the thread. :)

That's a serious security risk, you should use the latest version of each branch not multiple versions of each.
You can get the latest version of each branch here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003
And uninstall older variants.
Also you don't need all those branches to play a single game, each application/game uses a certain branch, depending on what version they were developed in.
This is the proper way to have Redistributable installed: http://i.imgur.com/Z6DD6mu.jpg
