I already bought it twice, for Xbox 360 and Steam, I'll wait a bit to see if the Steam version updates, otherwise I'll have to think about buying it a third time.
I highly doubt this will get a Steam update.
As much as I want everything to be available everywhere, GOG put in all the work to actually fix the game and get the rights back to be able to sell the game. It has every right to sell the game on its store to make back the investment.
I get it. Times have changed. But wouldn't allowing the gog teams changes allowed on every PC store, garner them more dollars?
Really makes me want to play it again and not even try to see if my Steam version still works.
Can't encourage that, since this would involve piracy to create a mod based on GOG team's work. So unless Sega themselves would do something about steam copy, no chance I guess.
Or, if you happen to have both steam and gog versions, you yourself theoreticaly might be able to experiment with games' files and see if something might be replaced and work better or considering other kinds of tinkering.
Anyways, that's a popular issue with MS store getting patches for some gamepass versions while steam won't get those for months/years or at all so don't get your hopes too high.
