Checkpoint Saving
The saving system is strict and only lets you return to specific points.

I HATE having to redo things, and I have bad perfectionist habits.

it's a shame because I was actually enjoying the game a bit, but the saving is just too much for me.

Yeah, I forgot about that (played and beat it on PS3 years ago) the saving in this game is awful and not fit for an RPG! I might refrain from playing it again tbqh. I reload a lot in RPGs, but in this game that is not possible.

I don't recall how to do this, but THERE IS A WAY TO ADD SAVING ON COMMAND in Alpha Protocol. I remember this because I found out that it was very important to save just before the end of a mission. That way you could change your decision in the next movie decision area without it becoming messed-up about the possible choices or staying with the original one if you save during the movie or after the end of a mission.

I think there was a way to add it AS A CONSOLE COMMAND IN-GAME and then attach it via a keybind. But if you can save via the console, if the game had a console for such commands, then that would solve the issue even without a key bound to the function.

Anyway, I used to do it. Question is, how to make that happen. Maybe pcgamingwiki will say. If not maybe an old Gamefaqs.com entry for Alpha Protocol. Or a Guide here above the discussions on Steam.

But there is a way. If I find it I'll post here. Might try searching internet via search for it. I don't have the game installed currently and so it will be a while unless it is on the internet as info.

I would quite appreciate that.
