This VN is really really good for now. I played it 3 hours and it hooked me immediately.

Before you ask, this is not a kinetic Visual Novel. You have to make decisions which will lead you to 1 of the 3 Endings

Story:

First of all I like the setting pretty much.
The Story starts with a problem which burdens the main character (Tadayoshi Kurokawa) so you will get hooked that fast like me. After some time the story will get a mysterious touch.

Characters:

All of the characters I´ve met for now are all lovely and likeable. Besides that, it seems that all of them have their own burdens to bear.
(Even the fact that one of them comes from germany is pretty cool for us germans ;) )
But my favorites are Julia and Rosary <3


Voices:

Well, this game isn´t fully voiced in it´s current state.
The voice fits to the characters, I have no complaints

Art/Drawing:

The Backgrounds are beautiful and the characters are well drawn. There is not much to say about it.

Music:

The Music is beautiful too and adapts themself to the situation,

Textbox:

The Textbox is well done designed and fits to the main theme. Especially the fact, that the character which is talking at the moment, appears in those boxes, is pretty nice.

OP/ED:

Well, I´ve heard only the OP and it´s a good song.

Conclusion:

This VN is one of the good ones which are out here on steam. You will get an interesting Story, lovely characters and you will also get hooked pretty fast.

Honestly, I think this is one of the best visual novels on steam atm. The CGs have quite a lot of detail and are gorgeous, in my opinion. The story is a solid mystery and the events that unfold keep tension high. I haven't completed the game yet, but I feel like I have a pretty firm grasp of the story so far.

I think the characters have interesting personalities as well. Most of them feel well written and fleshed out so far. Another thing that I'm happy about is that the main protagonist actually has character. He isnt just a generic protagonist, he actually seems like he has a brain. Granted, there have been some moments where he has acted stupid and childish, but most of the time he uses logic to solve something going on or to come to a conclusion.

However, this VN is by no means perfect. I notice that sometimes scenes drag on a bit, but that may be because ive been playing it for 6 hours straight. Another thing that people have been up in arms about is the fact that the game is partially voiced. I honestly dont mind this, but sometimes the recordings for the voices, especially the main protagonist, feel a bit artificial. Sometimes the voice acting is convincing but when characters talk loud, the quality is a bit shoddy.

Overall, I genuinely recommend this game because the story is gripping, the characters are loveable, and the protagonist actually shows that he is smart, in contrast to many visual novels that state that the protag is a genius but never actually prove it.

Edit: I just finished the game and I feel that the ending is unsatisfying and abrupt. It's an obvious cliffhanger, which im not too fond of, but I still feel this is a very solid VN entry for Steam and still recommend it without a doubt. Also, I want to make it clear that this is the first installment of the series, so please be aware that this game is not the entire story, only the first part of it.

Can't say much about this VN. It is good, gives you nice feelings. It's worth buying.
BUT!
I've got one problem. Voiece sound. Actors are okay (for me, mc's voice is out of place, I,m just can't connect this voice to the mc), the problem is voice sound quality, when characters starts to talk loudly or scream (and mc do it alot), they just raping my ears... in some point, I'm just mute voices. This is my only concern.

Despite what it looks like I've already played through most of this game offline during beta, I merely played through the opening 30 mins or so to listen to the protagonist's voice this time around. If you've already read through previous reviews you'll quickly learn that this version of the game has handful of improvements that make it stand out from the original Summer 2014 version that released in Japan. First and foremost the text has been fully translated in English and quite well too, as well the addition of some enjoyable scenes that are new to this version. What I learned in my 30 min or so replay is that this version has yet to be fully voiced, but don't worry though because the rest of the script will be fully voiced and applied to the game within the next 2-3 months via updates. Now that's out of the way.....

Should you buy this game?
If this is your first Visual Novel than maybe, its a fictional story based around one town in Japan's Post-War reconstruction era so the setting might not be easy to grasp as it's very unconventional for most VN. That said the relationships between the characters are easy to understand and the characters themselves are somewhat interesting. If you've read the title more than once ( and know about Lepidoptera; a.k.a. butterfly effect) than you can probably figure out that time travel is important in this VN. I wont divulge in how time travel is used but I can say that it does take some time before it takes an important role in the VN. As per usual of VN the player does have to make decisions to get the true ending.

And if you've played several VN in the past like me than buy this game ASAP, you won't regret it. 10/10 Would train with Lin daily to get strong enough to outrun the slums.

Loveables characters, interesting story, worth the price entirely.

It's a pretty interesting VN game! Visually it's great and the voice is well done as well. The music/BGM does fit really well with the story. Just to let you all know this game is not a Kinetic Novel, since there will be choices later on having different ending.

Now I haven't finished the game yet, but I noticed there was some flaws... Some of the BGM doesn't play smoothly. Sometime it just ends the music all the sudden and plays again. Now, this could be only me who's experiencing it, but I had those moments a few time. Another flaw I should say is that the sudden drop of Voice Over Actors while the dialogue is going. Which mean not all the dialogue/monologue is voice acted. Just to let you all know that. And that about it that I noticed. Otherwise, it great for now!

It has a story that can get you easily hooked onto. There are some loose ends however. The characters are interesting and have uniqueness to them.

It's voiced, great art-style that doesn't look low budget and a story that's not just nukige. This is up there with Devil on G-String as the better Visual Novels on Steam. For people that are expecting it to be fully voiced, they clearly don't understand the business rearlities of this world.
