Modding?
Can it be done? I've been eyeing this one for a while, but no amount of searching has turned up any mods for it yet.

So can modding be done, or at least are there plans to add it?

Sorry but no. It was originally designed for XBox 360 so I didn't concern myself with giving it a moddable structure, which I rather regret now but too late to change it.

@Bob the P.R. Bot is it not even possible to change the structure of it? Looking into the game before I buy it for ~10 friends and it seems a little low on content but the structure was excellent so I was wondering if there was mods.

There are certain .pak files which can be modified to change the game textures, dialogue and such, but no one's really released their own mod.

Changing the structure would be a pretty huge task and likely to introduce lots of bugs.. it's easier to make changes to an unreleased game, so I'm going to try and do that for the sequel.

Please make something that is playable with toasters. More or less like the first Survivalist.

Yeah I'll get right on that.

I'd buy a sequal - with mods - this is one of those great core games that would benfit from a easy to mod game and could really explode with a modability

kind of reminds me of banished - premods done in like 20-30 hours - after mods check back every 2-4 months and play it like its a new game

Mods would be great, but I can see that at this point we won't have them in the first Survivalist, that's fine to me, as long as you keep adding additional content so the game doesn't dry out fast gameplay wise, can't wait to see what you do for the sequel whenever you get around to that, great work so far!

are the plans for a sequel still up or has that changed? Likeing the first a lot even though only played an hour lol But would love for a part 2. I like how can build base. if make sequel moddable i would deffinitly buy it :-)

Such a shame if there's no modding for this... lack of modding kills many a game after a few months (looking at Dead State as a prime example) and allow others to soar and remain popular for years (e.g. NeoScavenger). Many think this only applies to big AAA titles (Fallout/Skyrim) but it applies to "indy" games even more so, IMO.

If mods of any kind can't be added for this game, they should definitely be considered for a sequel.

Yeah, regret it 100%...since you have no plans on adding new stuff in-game, modding would of been useful for all of us.
Oh well...
