Ships shields

Quick question, is the shield icon for ships bugged? Surely the best ships in the game should have higher than one or two shields..... I just dont get it, especially when the bar goes up to 15 ish??
Anyone any idea why for example a Titan ship has 2 measly shields and can this be increased some how but I have not discovered it yet?

You said you have a titan ship but you didn't say what shield module you have installed. I don't know about titan ships, but for other classes of ships there are different levels of shield modules you can craft and install.

Planet bane, and it came with all T5 mods, i have never seen higher

yep but when pirate attack my ship when cruise in 2sec i have shield down adn 50% hp pirate ships brutal cheating adn haves 60khp+ and shields wit infinite regeneration

Sounds like it may be some unfinished balancing/scaling at end-game that they didn't properly nail down yet

a shield icon requires 1300 shield to visually activate it... best shield in the game is titan t5 @ 2600 so ofc Planet Bane comes with 2 shield icons... maybe when ship building it here people cant make super powerful ships
