Why can’t I warp to Nexus?

So I’ve gotten to all the systems around nexus but it won’t let me warp to it. I’m in adventure mode so I don’t have any quest that explains it. Does it have anything to do with the light temples? I’ve cleared only the starter one so far.

That system is a bit different. There are portals taking you to Nexus from other planets and the planet itself is what the name is, a Nexus of interconnected portals. To get there you need to find planets with portals towards Nexus.

i warped to nexus a few days ago and when i landed on the planet i was like im not supposed to be here, this looks like its part of the story so i left. then i ended up in a system saying theres a lost portal, found it and used it now i know what the nexus is for.

So...we weren't supposed to be able to just fly to the nexus immediately? Yeah that makes sense - earlier this week I landed there and did a few portals in reverse, killed the darkness spreaders and found out where the portals were by going thru the nexus side lol.
