Its more the fact of how annoying it was with how each one took a inv slot, and how fast you go thru them. The fact they now stack is night and day difference quality of life wise.
Yeah, I seen that and then was like ???? when they didn't stack before patch 1.0.22 Like you said though I think they were intended to stack in the first place, and it just wasn't done in time. The game feels like it was rushed out a bit, so now its playing catchup. It can only get better from here. You have no idea how stacking batteries brought a smile to my face after playing for days when they would not stack. It sounds like a small change, but it has a massive quality of life impact.
Might be a bit issue with loot though, one steel chest I opened in 1.0.22 had 10 t1 batteries in it. I am guessing that was supposed to be 1 orignally.
As a new player expect to die.. a lot. Even on the first planet some of the pirates can literally 2-3 shot you from 30+ meters away. If repairing gets on your nerves, some of the little glass houses have repair stations that cost qbits instead of materials to repair. The player cannot make this station as far as I know. Its a npc only spawn.
Battery did stack at first. Then, before they release, they notice how stack of battery get consumed all at once instead of one by one.
They remove the stacking ability, didn't change the tips. Release the game.
They try to find a way to stack battery without the consume everything issue. They can't do it (or at least, for now), and opt instead to let battery stack but allow only one battery at a time to be equipped.
