suggestions NPC town/crew.
like the title suggests. I played a game called myth of empires. (which is similar to ARK in how it plays.) I absolutely loved that you could hire NPC's to work for you that were humans. They could be on ballista towers guarding your base, working work stations, mining or etc for you. they could follow you around or be ordered to attack things too and can be geared up.

so heres the suggestions.

-Pirate enemy NPC outposts/space stations/ships attacking players randomly (toggle on or off)

-planetary inhabitant such as rock golems, bugs/monsters/dinosaurs/animals that live on and within the planet.

-and local aliens all with their own niche buffs/debuffs. (for example a fish person alien will likely thrive in a water world and can breathe underwater/go faster. that concept.) these aliens will be possible for all NPC's on your team, met randomly or as pirates.

-A difference of locals, for example aztec/mayan/incan style more nature themed towns/cities aswell as more advanced ones with technology/machines to be found. (with a global currency all cultures respect, probably gold?)

-machine droids. Players can create a droid army, fight self replicating droid cities/towns and their various types of inhabitants. (goes for pirates too) these droids will be hostile to all but their own city. even other droids. I think being able to craft/create parts for them to help with buffs too like a water filtration to allow them to be underwater without dying, or heat resistance plating to go into volcanos etc. along with combat them,ed ones ofcourse too.

-Clones. This will be a cloning machine that can actually take genes from certain species and pile them onto another (should be difficult and expensive/require a lot of materials) for example think of horatio from endless space 2. You can create a team/city of your own of clones of yourself or anyone you choose (even an NPC of an alien fish person for example) then you can add more and more genes onto a single unit per use. This means you can have a lot of units with every gene but you would have to work on them one by one and they can die still. the genes would be similar to the droids upgrades. like for example a dwarf is going to be great at mining and mining related buffs/ignoring debuffs for it type concept.

the creatures could be a wildcard aswell as the droids. so they are hostile to all (unless they're a docile breed like a chicken type of thing or tamable larger one.)

-If possible allowing us to create a satellite homebase in the stars to then go to other planets to make outposts and bring the resources back to build up your satellite space station. (which can be attacked by pirates) the station could function like a city too with NPC's working in spots and going around it filling it with life.

just some ideas/suggestions that would be awesome.

and for skins to sell you could have multiple unique looks/skin overrides for each species of alien people/droids the player can use and buy as a DLC for 1$ each or something prob. different outfits and helmets and so on. Maybe one shark alien person has a full suit with a fish bowl helmet like a diver helmet type thing, maybe another one has an eyepatch and a pirate hat. and another is a hammerhead type shark, or other alien fantasy themes and colors and so on. but for each kind. this will allow for hundreds of different niche cosmetic DLC to be available. Makes you guys some money and adds to the players experience.

oh also weapons/gear skin overrides too. so you can have cool tool lasers, various laser colors for mining and so on. all this for the players and NPC's

could have fun decals/flags for the player to make their own crest that can go onto their units suits and allow numbers for them so they can make squad numbers and so on. also renaming units and having a Team. (if no team selected like squads then they can just be part of the main one by default) which is the city/town the player is leader of.

perhaps more professions too like for example a bounty hunter with a jet pack and upgrades for it, and being hunted by them/attacked by them like pirates would too. Where they're pretty strong and scary (again a toggle off for players who dont want to fight that) having professions for skills like irl. like a fisherman finding alien fish to sell/use/grow/farm and farmers, lumberjacks, and so on. the bounty hunters could be randomly anything too. like a droid, clone, various species of alien people or even human. that kind of concept would be fun.
Pirates can attack right now bases and such. You will see a ship actually approaching then teleport them quite cool. There are pirate bases you can attack and claim in a sense turning into a new town. There more ideas I like here, just thought I let you know what I seen so far.

oo cool thanks, haven't played yet and only saw a tiny bit of gameplay atm. Hoping the pirates can randomly roam around and attack players bases/space stations too if not already in the game. Also something magical about building your own "planet" type of city satellite/space station with its own zoo like biomes of nature and farms and so on. IMO. kinda like how in halo the halo rings have their own land/water on them. definitely excited for the game to release and see what it brings. Maybe even "skills/lvls" like skyrim has one day type of thing. if not already in the game.
