Wow .. repairing your gear is expensive

I stumbled upon some pirates near the further out base in the demo (it's called Jivec in my game, but how randomized are these?), and they absolutely murdered me a few times and I gave up. The tussle left all my gear damaged, so I gathered the resources to build a repair station. Seems like repairing damaged equipment (like your suit) requires almost as many components and materials as building a whole new one. To the point of, what's the point.

In the Jivec outpost I did find a repair station where you can repair anything with money, but whew, that's also really pricey.

Imao repairing in the "cities" is more comfortable and faster (saving time) as by spending resources.
