Once you've dug down to that marked Ore, if you've already built the Scanner, you can hit the Q button on your keyboard and it'll locate any blocks within about a 5 to 10 block radius that contain Ore and allow you to dig those out. That tends to work well for me, unless I've already cleared the area of T2 Ore (which I have done around my base). Then QB1 will make a noise, yet not point out a block...
Yeah I've tried that but the problem is I haven't even found the first piece yet, and even dug where the first meteor shower fell. I read that people are finding them through cave systems so I'm going to try that again and report back
I had this problem too. But on the screen where you tell QB1 what ore to scan for you can click on the button that says like T1 or T2 and it will just search for a random or of that tier. Took me 3 or 4 tries to get a piece of gold ore then I could search for it specifically.
I tried that but gold specifically isn't selectable, just any of the others or T2 ore in general, I tried for like 2 hours and didn't hit gold once. NGL puts a pretty sour taste in the mouth whether that's as intended or as a bug.
QB1 will detect ANT T2 Ore whether or not you've found it. Once you've found the Ore at least a single time, then you can direct QB1 to find that Ore...
I find it HIGHLY unlikely that you've looked for very long, as it should be plentiful enough for you to find it within a reasonable time...
*edit* Finally found some by randomly scanning for T2, it was in a small pocket nowhere near any of the tutorial points of interest. Took hours to find any and there's very little more. Is the demo tutorial also procedural? Random?
The thing is... I have explored 7-8 of these shafts now, and every one of them is chock-full of pretty much every ore there is, every time, once you explore it all. I pulled 30+ silver and 10+ of almost everything else from one of them. Plus a chest at each end of every railroad line (there can be more than one). Also in there... 1-2 pirates/line, and sometimes a beast... so be prepared. But still... I have more gold from these than I know what to do with,
