I think most of one ore type was once 4 or so
What helps is to press your own scanner (q) and search for the surrounding outlines. Ores can often be found there. Often the same ones you were looking for.
Sadly I think this slow process is really making the game longer than it should be due to the time it takes to find resources. I hope to see this changed in the future.
there are asteroids (shown on the map) in space that can give you easily like 60-100 ore of a specific resource, depending on your skill level and such. You just have to manualy mine them first before shooting them.
I just dont know if the level of ore depends on the system level as i havent gone to high level systems yet. But got almost a hundred titanium ore in a single asteroid and the system was in the low 10s.
I was just watching a video explaining that you can look at the galaxy map and at least narrow down your mining to planets that have the most abundance of the resource you're looking for so that should help hopefully. Also good to hear that asteroids offer more as well.
with asteroids i first just shoot them with the ship and only got like 15 ore, but i noticed you still get the same amount of ore from shooting them when they are just a sandcube with all ore removed, so that became my strategy so far for the lower tiered ores. It is just something that is nowhere mentioned.
Yes this is the only way to get more then one node at a time--need more of these please DEVS ?
