The console is totally sold out at the mo so many ppl don't agree with you're view.
Also buying the game on the switch 2 would be supporting Atypical Games as they made the game.
I don't like the way valve treats us gamers at times but that does not mean i'm not going to stop buying games on steam.
Well to be fair Nintendo arent exactly saints either, what with how expensive the switch 2 is and the price hike with games, plus their legal battle with Pocket pair at the moment. Not to mention having to pay for a user manual and having to have a subscription in order to chat with friends and their changes to their TOS saying practically they can brick your switch if they detect anything they dont like going on with your system.
Imagine Microsoft suing Cubic Odyssey devs for making a minecraft clone, maybe this will open your eyes.
Also what are your criticisms of Valve?
The price of the switch 2 is not to bad for a handheld imo cheaper than a steamdeck.
Also look at the price hike Microsoft is doing?
As for pocket pair tbh i do like the game but damn it is so close to a pokmon game imo.
I am surprised Nintendo never jumped on them sooner.
All consoles have some type of subscription, psn you need it to play online/xbox live you need it to play online/you also need a subscription for Nintendo to play online so it makes sense to add the chat in the subscription as well as you only be chatting online.
As for bricking ya console depend what you mean by bricking it? you prob just be banned console just like if sony caught you modding there console it would be banned console same with xbox same with steam but steam would be a banned account.
Don't get me wrong i'm not sticking up for Nintendo as they did patenting game mechanics which would only be legal in there country i think. but tbh i think it should not be allowed anyway.
at the end of the day they are mostly doing just the same thing as what the other company's would do if they can get away with it.
