BUG: Main Quest on Grace Cannot Progress

Having made it to Grace 2 in pursuit of the "other knight" I immediately dropped by the Dark Source and eradicated it, then jumped over to the Ancient Weapon and used it to disperse the darkness as I don't like the extent to which it hampers my movement.

Given that the Ancient Weapon is located less than a dozen blocks from a pirate base, I was swiftly under attack and, shrugging, proceeded to wipe them out and liberate the city... which converted to Aoacu.

Cue my return to the ship and flying to the quest marker, located conveniently nearby. The knight isnt present at his home and the marker shifts... to Aoacu. I fly back, drop down and follow it to a building on the far side of town, where Helioctus is waiting. Speaking to him, he thanks me for freeing him and says we should meet back in his home.

However: the quest marker reads "Clear the pirate base to free Helioctus." And, obviously, he never moves. Just repeats the same dialogue, ad infinitum.

I tried waiting for pirates to arrive in the city via a pirate ship and kill them. I tried flying to a different planet. I tried dying. I tried reloading. I tried leaving the system entirely, burning through multiple warp cells.

Nothing works.
The quest is bugged, apparently, by merely completing unanticipated objectives out of sequence.

Same, liberated that city prior to visiting that knight's home. Now can not proceed.

And took me a while to check on the knight's home so I probably have no earlier save to restore from (or if I do it's going to cost me a lot of progress).

i am stuck too game ask me to meet him back at is base he isnt at the marker so i cannot proceed ...

Ultimately, I had to restore the only save I had that was prior to leaving my base on the multi-system exploration that took me to Grace. Ended up sacrificing nearly two hours of playtime, along with myriad crafted/found items, all to ensure that I could finally progress.

This bug needs to be addressed.

Augh. Another here also stuck on this planet. I freed the planet of the red, but reloaded and the red is now gone, but still says I need to gain access to it. Cant progress.

Same problem here! It seems that if you don't visit Helioctus's base before clearing the pirate base, Helioctus doesn't progress from there. I'm waiting for a fix to continue playing it because I've made a lot of progress from that point on and would lose a lot of progress.

This is a work around, until the staff finds the solution.

Locate the "3000005bd.sav" portion in your save directory (deleting that "should" resolve it. though if need be: deleting .vw3 (vowel portion of stuff) as well can help) fair warning .vw3 will remove anything you've done in that planet portion, such as builds, etc.

This is strictly a way to "reset" so don't do this if you've already did alot of building, etc and don't want that lost in that region.

For reference, if this happens to any other progression (look into data/configs/progression) until you come across the reference like "3000005bd" and you'll see textureHint "gain_access_to_planet_grace_2"

planetIdStr "3000005bd"
arg "Grace"
for example. then reference that to the portion within the save directory.

I haven't had to for awhile since now I know what to look out for (to avoid breaking flags) I can't speak on it. I could force the break on a save if need be. otherwise, simply make a backup save and test it.

Progression 103 refers to clearing the base.
104-108 is what follows after that.

If I recall and it's asking you to meet him in bardwell 2 (Progression 108 refers to "300000005")

Edit. Mind you, this work around can have varying results. Always have backups and test my earlier message that fits the task. Just know don't touch vw3 unless you absolutely don't mind it will "reset" builds you've done, etc with what it touches.

Sounds like it resets pirate base so you can clear it again and fullfil the quest.

Yes. Pretty much "resets" the whole world.

same problem, but looks like i only have cloud saves nothing in the save folder to even edit stuff.
this is really annoying :-(

i guess resets the whole world does not mean just grace 2 but everything you build anythere?

Based of description, sounds like it resets everything on a specific planet. And you probably can reset->finish quest->recover from a saved copy.

I stuck at free queen i find 4 key free her but no progress nothing help is super devs work when main quest at end is buged in all phase next brutal uncomplet things and bugs in this prealpha test
