Honestly, who is this game for?
Not trying to troll or anything, i really mean my question. This game is just pure copycat of No Man's Sky, but with ugly voxel graphics. Why would somebody prefer this to NMS? Surprisingly, system requirements are even higher than of NMS. The amount of content... well, it would be a joke to compare these two in the anount of contnent. The price? NMS is in gamepass so you can literally play it for free, while you have to pay actual money for Cubic Odyssey. So, can any1 tell me at least 1 reason why should a single soul in the world prefer to pay money for squary NMS clone instead of playing the original NMS for free?

Because each to there own? I mean it is like saying Why do people like apples because you don't like them it is purely objective also... Nms is not free it is on gamepass that you have to pay for so there is that. Either way people wana play a game they enjoy all the more power to them don't matter what game it is

yet another poor soul that thinks you have to pay for gamepass. Anyways, your comparison is not correct, nms and cubic odyssey are apples and rotten apples. Because it's the exact same game, but worse in every aspect. So why would someone prefer worse version of sth?
because its more fun than nms. nms is about as fun as watching paint dry. this is as fun as peeling paint...

why do you care though? you don't seem to own either game?

No Man's Sky lacks any kind of serious combat, this game has that in spades. This is what No Man buy should have been.

Either you havent played NMS, or i dont know what serious combat is. There's plenty of it in NMS. Yeah, you fight against robots there, not humans, but is it that big of deal to call it not serious?

Anyone who starts their post saying they are not trying to troll usually means they are trolling. I gave you the benefit of the doubt but from your first response I realized I was correct that you are just trolling. You ask for opinions then shout down the first one you get. No clown awards for you today.

I've played ~100 hrs of NMS in xbox store, that's why i dont have it on Steam. And i've played demo of CO

For one, it much more difficult to fly in no man sky. For 2, no man sky was much harder of a game. i never even got to learn how to build an no man sky base....For 3 the oxygen thing was annoying.

yeah, sure, i care about clown rewards, i totally do not have 120k steam points. I got an opinion from a person who literally thinks you have to pay for gamepass, of course i will shut it down lol

Have both, play both. Both have their faults, both have their good parts.

People play what people play.

I brought No Mans Sky on PS4 when it came out, and brought it again on PC when they made the move.

I brought this after playing the demo and enjoying it. Besides, games have a chance of being rotated out of Game Pass, so it may not always be there forever.

I bought NMS on launch and played it many times every year. It is ALWAYS the same. I play for a few hours then find myself yawning as it's all about eye candy and little to nothing else to it.

So, what's the good part in CO for you, comparing to NMS? What you get here that you cant get in NMS? Also, considering how long it's been on gamepass, i doubt it'll rotate any soon, but even if it does, NMS is on discount almost all the time on steam, and the discounted price is the same as CO's

it's just a walking simulator, looks great on the outside but once you reach for some depth it loses it's luster very fast. This game pulled me in right away, you wanted the difference and this game has a lot more depth in the fun department than NMS. I keep hoping that NMS will get something that pulls me in but it lacks the combat(non flight sim) that this game has a ton of.

I'm hopeful they fix these issues with Light no Fire, they don't seem to do combat in an interesting way.
