Pirates overtuned on 2nd planet
I know it's been mentioned by others but even after the last balance update, some level 2 pirates are way overtuned on the 2nd planet. I have to hit them like 5 times in a row with my T2 pistol just to get through their shields and do any damage to their health any meanwhile they are blasting right through my shields in 1 hit. If I get to cover and stop doing damage, their shields immediately return to full.

It's hard to believe this was tested and found to be balanced. I can't make a better weapon until I find Titanium which I have not found yet.

I agree with you on this, they are too overpowered, fly into space and look for Asteroids, they hold a big amount of ores that are are hard to find.

I was lucky and found a Sniper rifle with a dmg of 60, only problem is it eats up my Batteries, like after 5 shots I am at half battery power and that is with the T2 batteries, I don't think they are working properly in game, they are supposed to be 600 capacity so double the T1, but they last just as long as a T1.

This is on Xbox btw.

On Bardwell 2?

I'd advice not using a pistol. Do some of those ancient hull block mines. Find a decent sniper or Assault rifle. or do enough quests to buy one.

I find planet 2 to be pretty simple as long as your not rushing head long into the danger and preparing yourself.

Look for NPC towns, and see if they have higher tier weapon crafting benches.

The second planet on my system had a small town overrun by pirates. After I cleared them out (using nothing by the T2 pistol), the town became an npc town. And it had an advanced weapon crafting bench. I killed them all by standing at the top of a cliff, and letting them pool at the bottom. If I edges forwards carefully, I could just snipe the tops of their heads.

That bench has recipes that go all the way up to T5, and higher (it now shows T7 after I acquired motherboards).

I made a level 3 sniper rifle with nothing but the materials I found in the starter system, and components I bought from the traders in the starting system towns.

That T3 sniper rifle just one shots most enemies without shields. Ones with shields take a bit longer, as the shields partially recharge between shots. But once their shields are mostly gone, my next shot will blast down their blue shield bar, and take away health bar (red) on every shot. Soon as I could kill the mine guards easier with the T3 sniper rifle, I quickly got all the mats needed to make a T3 pistol and shotgun.

Tier 4 seems the highest you can go without needing the crazy mats (glowing anything, containment cells, etc) as long as you jump to any system that sells motherboards, buy all you can and come back. I went 2 systems away, bought motherboards from every single place I could along the way (and back) and came back to my starting place with over 60 motherboards.

I just made T4 sniper rifle, pistol, and shotgun last night. The only thing I couldn't get in the starting system were the motherboards. I also made a T5 mining tool, and T4 suit and backpack.
ive resorted to using the stun stick to deal with pirate with shields(using tier 3 stick) you hit them so fast they go down fast. i also have tier3 gear and gave them all shield mods so i have like 7-8 shields so i can zig zag to get close to them and smack them. make tier 1 cheap gear check if it has a shield mod then extract if not relaod before you made it. unless they have a shotgun and kill me in 2 hits im taking them down fast(save before running in to kill them)
