Building in a temple

So cleared/activated the first temple. Im building inside of it. As I progress will the temple change deleting/destroying anything Ive built in it?

I built a few things in the temple and have progressed far enough that it wants me to go away from the temple, and everything is still there, so I would think you would be fine.

Did you reclaim/purge/cleanse another temple? Im ready to cleanse my 2nd (and I guess I could save and test it) and done know if it will change the first?

I have a hole in the center below the star map seems like that area will have something going there.

Also made a base on Bardwell 2 in the temple. Very good decision as I had a meteor shower just over it, but nothing damaged, just outside a few blocks.
I installed doors and made the ground blocks 2 high, so pirates cannot enter.
I think the existing temple portal is also interessting maybe fpr a distant teleport.

I have not claimed another temple yet, thats my next quest. As the game wants you to move onto the next one, I doubt anything will change with the first. I'm assuming that this is the basic story gameplay loop, find temple, activate temple, find light weapon, cleanse planets, move onto next temple, rinse and repeat.
