crafting blocks ?

hi, am at the start first night, is it possible to craft iron blocks as example? to build strong blocks for my base?
i didnt find a way to make like that like in minecraft ^^

I think you can make decorative metal blocks (and other decorative blocks) in the "building station" i think it is called. But there are no 9 iron ingots to 1 iron block kinda recipes afaik.

You want the builders bench: it has tons of both practical and decorative things.
